Randolph's Landing
holds two of the major catfish tournaments that are held on the Santee-Cooper Lakes systems every year. These two tournaments are the State Championship Tournament held in March and The National Championship which is held in September. Here are photos and results from the 2006 State Championship Catfish Tournament, March 11th & 12th, 2006.

Here are the results:

76 boats  %100 payback-  Total Purse~ 9,425.00

David Travis, of Pineville, S.C. netted the biggest fish weighing in at 56.1. winning $1520.00 and was also in the Big Fish Pot that took $1,095!With winnings totaling $ 2,615.00 Travis wouldn't reveal where he caught the fish but would say he caught the monster fish on perch.  What a great day of fishing for  David!

2nd Place Big Fish went to Moose Moody weighing in at 52 lbs. winning $760.00.

 

3rd Place Big Fish was caught by the  Smith Team, weighing in at 46.2 and taking home purse worth $570.00.

 

The team of Rose weighed in a 44.6 lb catfish to take 4th Place and $380.00.

Jr. Bunce took 5th place with a 41.1 lb cat that paid him $190.00.

Total weight 1st Place went to Moose Moody with a 166.5 lb catch taking home $1,520.00$.

2nd Place David Travis total weight- 156.8 lbs. and $760.00.

 

Rose brought in 3rd Place with 149.7 lbs. winning $570.00.

 

4th Place winning  $380.00 went to the team of Northrup at 148.7 lbs

 

Paul Osbourne came in 5th with a total weight of 143 lbs. winning $190.00.

Richard Jones placed 10th in the Big Fish Pot winning $730.00 and  a little boy drew Jason Linendoll's name out of the hat for the  Drawing for $760.00. He was so pleased he turned and gave the little boy a $50.00 bill.
